Trains from London Bridge
London Bridge was rebuilt a few years ago and is now one of the main rail hubs south of the river. Thameslink trains run north to Bedford and Cambridge and south to Brighton, Southern services cover Sussex and south London, and Southeastern trains run to Kent. It is also on the Northern and Jubilee lines, which makes it a useful place to connect with the rest of London.
More than a station
A lot of our London Bridge customers are not catching a train at all. Guy's Hospital is right next to the station, and many people prefer a car for hospital appointments, especially after treatment. The Shard, Borough Market and the offices along the river also bring regular bookings. Tell us exactly where you are going and we will drop you as close as possible.
The drive from Raynes Park
The route usually heads east through Clapham or Stockwell and then north through Kennington and the Borough towards the station. Traffic around Elephant and Castle and Borough High Street can be slow, particularly in the morning and evening peaks, so we plan your pickup time with some leeway.
Some routes into central London cross the Congestion Charge zone. Ask us when you book how any charge is handled for your journey.
Hospital appointments
For appointments at Guy's, give us your appointment time and the building or entrance you need, and we will aim to get you there with time to spare. If you don't know how long you will be, call us when you are ready to leave and we will send a car. We can also arrange a fixed return time if you prefer. Please mention any mobility needs when you book, so we can send a suitable car and allow extra time.
Collecting you from London Bridge
London Bridge has several entrances on different levels. We agree a meeting point with you when you book, and your driver can call when you arrive. If your train is delayed, let us know and we will adjust.
Thameslink to Luton and Gatwick
Thameslink trains from London Bridge run north to Luton Airport Parkway and south to Gatwick Airport, and some customers ask whether they should take a taxi to London Bridge and then the train to the airport. From Raynes Park, it is usually quicker and easier to drive straight to the airport, especially for Gatwick. Our Gatwick transfers and Luton transfers pages explain the direct routes, with a fixed fare from your door.
Nearby journeys
For trains to Kent, Charing Cross is one stop away and may suit you better. For short-haul flights, London City Airport is just east of London Bridge. We also run to Waterloo. If you are travelling with a dog, see our pet friendly taxi. We collect from Colliers Wood, South Wimbledon and across the area.
