Old Malden and the A3
Old Malden is the historic heart of Malden, with the parish church of St John the Baptist and quiet streets running down to the Hogsmill River. It also sits close to the A3 Kingston bypass, which makes it one of the better-placed parts of our area for Heathrow. Drivers usually join the A3 or head through Kingston, then continue west to the airport.
For Gatwick, the route goes south through Worcester Park and Ewell towards the M25 and the M23. Either way, your driver checks traffic before setting off and chooses the best route.
Why a taxi instead of the train
Malden Manor station, on the Chessington branch, has trains to Waterloo via Raynes Park. That is handy for trips into London but not for flights, because reaching any airport by rail means changing at least once. A car collects you at home and drops you outside the terminal, which is far easier with luggage or children.

Getting onto the A3
The A3 is a big advantage for Old Malden, but it can also queue at the Tolworth and Malden junctions in the morning rush. When it does, our drivers use the roads through Kingston instead. We check traffic before your pickup so you don't have to.
