Driving from Raynes Park to Heathrow
Heathrow is the airport most of our customers use, and it is one of the easier runs from Raynes Park. Most trips head west through New Malden and Kingston, then north towards the Great South West Road (A30), which runs along the southern edge of the airport. When the A3 and M25 are moving well, some drivers use the motorway instead. Your driver picks the route on the day based on live traffic.
For an early morning flight the journey is usually quick, because the roads through Kingston are quiet before 6am. Weekday rush hour and Friday afternoons are slower, so we add a margin when we plan your pickup time. If you are not sure when to leave, tell us your flight time and we will suggest one.
Which Heathrow terminal are you flying from?
Heathrow has four passenger terminals in use: 2, 3, 4 and 5. Terminals 2 and 3 sit in the central area, reached through the tunnel under the northern runway. Terminal 4 is on the south side, close to the A30, and Terminal 5 is on the western edge of the airport. Because each one has a different approach road, please give us your terminal or your airline and flight number when you book. It saves time on the day and makes sure you are dropped at the right door.
Heathrow charges a fee for dropping passengers at the terminal forecourts. Ask us when you book how this is shown on your fare, so there are no surprises.
Being collected from Heathrow
For arrivals, we track your flight number rather than relying on the scheduled time. If your plane lands early or is delayed, the pickup moves with it. With our meet and greet option, your driver waits in the arrivals hall holding a name board, helps with your cases and walks you to the car. This is a good choice for older relatives, first-time visitors to London, or anyone arriving after a long-haul flight who would rather not look for a taxi rank.
If you prefer, we can arrange a kerbside pickup instead. Your driver will call you when you have your bags and tell you where to meet.
Choosing a car for your Heathrow trip
A saloon suits one to three passengers with standard luggage. An estate gives extra boot space for larger suitcases, golf bags or a pushchair. Families and small groups often choose our 6 seater taxi, and bigger groups or anyone travelling with lots of luggage can book a 7 seater taxi. Child seats are available on request, so please mention the age of each child when you book.
If you are staying near the airport before an early flight, our hotel transfer taxi can take you to one of the Heathrow hotels the night before.
Heathrow and the rest of your journey
We also run regular transfers to Gatwick and London City Airport, and some customers combine a Heathrow flight with a train from Paddington Station, home of the Heathrow Express. We collect from across the area, including Coombe, Copse Hill and Old Malden.
