Getting to the airport from Mitcham
Mitcham sits between two of London's main airports, but neither is easy to reach by public transport. Tramlink and the trains from Mitcham Junction and Mitcham Eastfields are useful for getting around south London, but for a flight they usually mean several changes with luggage. A taxi picks you up at home and takes you straight to the terminal.
For Gatwick, drivers generally head south through Carshalton or across Mitcham Common towards Croydon, then pick up the M23. For Heathrow, the route runs west through Morden and Raynes Park and on through Kingston. Your driver chooses the best way on the day, depending on traffic.
