Who books a 6 seater
A standard saloon has room for four passengers at most, and less once the boot is full of suitcases. As soon as a family of five or six is travelling, or four adults have lots of luggage, a larger car makes sense. Our 6 seater is a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) with three rows of seats, and it is the car we most often send for family holidays, trips to see relatives, and groups of friends going out together.
How much luggage fits?
Space depends on how many seats are in use. With all six seats taken, there is usually room for four large suitcases and some hand luggage. With fewer passengers, more space is available. Please tell us how many people and how many cases you have when you book, including pushchairs, golf bags or sports equipment, so we can make sure it all fits. If you have more luggage than a 6 seater can carry, our 7 seater taxi has more room.
Airport runs for families
The biggest use of our 6 seater is the airport. A family of five flying from Gatwick for a summer holiday can travel together with their cases, rather than booking two cars or wrestling with trains. The same goes for longer trips to Stansted or Luton, where sharing one car over a long journey is more comfortable and usually better value than two separate cars. We track your flight on the way home, so the car is ready when you land.
Children and child seats
Child seats are available on request. Tell us the age of each child when you book, and we will fit the right seats. If you need several seats, mention this early so we can plan. Some families also use our 6 seater for shared school journeys; see our school run taxi page for how that works.
Other uses
- Nights out or dinners where a group wants to arrive together.
- Family visits to relatives across London or further afield.
- Sports clubs and small teams travelling to matches with kit bags.
- Station runs with luggage, for example to King's Cross.
6 seater or saloon?
If you are three or four adults with a suitcase each, a saloon or estate may be enough. Once you add a fifth passenger, a pushchair, or larger bags such as golf clubs, the 6 seater is usually the better choice. When you are not sure, tell us exactly who is travelling and what they are bringing, and we will recommend the right vehicle. It's better to sort this out when you book than to find the boot won't close on the day.

You can book online using the form at the top of this page or by phone at any time. Because we have fewer larger cars than saloons, booking early is a good idea at busy times such as school holidays. We collect from Raynes Park and the nearby areas, including Sutton, Carshalton and Colliers Wood.
